Abstract
|
Researchers
hydrothermally treated ZSM-5 powder and extrudates by varying temperature and
time. They characterized the materials
in the methanol to propylene (MTP) process. They compatred changes in
textural properties, focusing on the nature, number, and ratio of Brønsted
(B) and Lewis (L) acid sites. The extrudates catalyst contained a large
number of acid sites, especially the L acid sites and hierarchical porous
structure due to the addition of the alumina binder. The number of acid sites
and the B/L ratio could be finely adjusted by proper hydrothermal treatment.
The hydrothermal treatment parameter on the extrudates was observed to have a significant effect on its MTP catalytic performance and product distribution. |
