Degradation of Nitrobenzene by Nano-TiO2/PVDF Membrane Catalytic Ozonation

Abstract
The ozone dosage, initial concentration of nitrobenzene, area of Nano-TiO2/PVDF membrane and pH value has been considered for optimized catalyst properties. An increase of the removal rate of nitrobenzene caused by increasing ozone dosage, initial concentration of nitrobenzene and Nano-TiO2/PVDF membrane area has been demonstrated.  Experimenttal results suggest that the best pH value is 10.  Another finding was that the catalytic effect of Nano-TiO2/PVDF membrane is also sensitive to tert-butyl alcohol.  This suggests a ·OH radical reaction mechanism.
