Abstract
Proper allocation of hydrogen resources to thermochemical processes within large refinery complexes has become an important engineering issue.
Introduces a targeting tool called the material surplus composite curve (MSCC), an improvement of the surplus diagram for water and hydrogen networks is introduced. Cases selected from the literature illustrate the approach. This technique makes it possible to determine rigorous flowrate targets for different variants of the RCN problem.
