Abstract
Describes
achievements and benefits resulting from development of the concept of
maintaining Gasco's pipeline network by implementing a prescriptive based
approach of Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR).
Production of natural gas in Egypt has grown consistently since the
1970s, especially in the region located in the north of the Western Desert.
This has enabled Egypt to count on natural gas as a prime source of energy. Facilities
have been built in order to ensure a safe and dependable supply of natural gas,
taking into consideration the possibilities of the growth of the grid in order
to withstand predicted growth in both production and consumption.
