Abstract
CO2 recycling in refineries extremely important, especially in the fluid cracking process, where spent catalyst undergoes coke regeneration in air. Performing this step in the presence of CO2/O2, instead of air, can significantly mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, while simultaneously producing large quantities of CO for sequential uses.
Authors report that alumina  modified by both potassium and vanadium was able to achieve this goal under regular regeneration conditions.
