Abstract
Describes synthesis of a new hybrid 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTS) and tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA) modified MCM-41 sorbent using a two-step method. Researchers grafted APTS onto the MCM-41, which was then TEPA was impregnated.
They conducted CO2 adsorption–desorption experiments in a self-assembled fixed bed reactor under ambient pressure. They studied the effects of hybrid amine loadings, adsorption temperatures, and influent velocities on CO2 sorption.
