Abstract	Interest in the development of CO2 capture technology has increased due to global warming, due to emissions of carbon dioxide which cause climate change to the atmosphere. Commercial software packages are based on various methods for the column calculations, such as equilibrium or rate-based approaches. Researchers used the commercial simulation software ASPEN Plus® as a framework for the modeling, based on the rate-based approach with the Eddy diffusivity theory.
